A 13,40’ video essay, assembled from personal footages, video call recordings, and screen recordings. In Transit opens with a jittery video call: a woman tours the houseplants left in her care in the wake of displacement. These plants become emotional proxies for the absent, their wilting and growth articulating geographies of unrest and the indelible scars left by conflict. As memory drifts to chart the quiet labor of survival, a rift emerges between two worlds: those who remain and endure latent violence, and those who have left and decode death from afar.
