A 15,29’ video essay, assembled from found footage, video call recordings, and screen recordings.
The narrative starts with the reenactment of a video call in October 2023. The video portrays a growing dissonance between two intersecting worlds: that of those who are there, enduring latent violence, and that of those who have left, decoding death from afar.
Through the delicate balance of caring for, suffocating, and resurrecting houseplants, the video depicts the spectral presence of abandonment and uprooting - and the quiet labor necessary for survival.
