Carla Aouad is an art director, illustrator and visual performer, currently based between Beirut and Marseille.
Roaming freely between experimental comics and visual arts. Focused on the repetition, transformation, and dissolution of lines, figures and words to narrate ruminating emotions, and on crafting visual poetry at the intersection of reality and fiction.
Graduated in 2015 from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts (ALBA) with a masters degree in Graphic Arts and Advertising. Previously worked in communication and is currently focused on visual practices. Set up and took part in a series of drawing concerts, performed in Beirut since 2017. An active member and contributor at Samandal Comics.
